Shingles - Zostavax Vaccine in Toronto

What is shingles?

Shingles is caused by the same virus that causes Chickenpox known as Zoster. Once you have had chickenpox the virus stays in your body and can be inactive for many years, however, if it becomes active again it causes shingles.

It is a painful condition often associated with a blistering rash. The rash can last several weeks and can result in serious complications such as skin infection, scarring and chronic nerve pain.
